Maintain Spinal Mobility To Stay Young

Spinal Mobility To Stay Young

“If your spine is stiff at 30, you are old. If it is flexible at 60, you are young”
– Joseph Pilates

Do you want to feel younger and more energetic? Do you want to prevent back pain and stiffness? If you answered yes, then you need to pay attention to your spinal mobility.

If you already work with me then you’ll know that I have a particular focus on spinal mobility in my sessions, and I do emphasise that improving this has been a game changer for me, with a major contribution to improving my back pain.

Spinal mobility is the ability of your spine to move in different directions and angles. It is essential for your overall health and well-being, because it affects your posture, your breathing, your digestion, your nervous system, and your mood.

When you have good spinal mobility, you can perform daily activities with ease and comfort. You can bend, twist, reach, and lift without straining or injuring yourself. You can also enjoy sports, hobbies, and other physical activities that make you happy.

But when you have poor spinal mobility, you may experience chronic back pain, stiffness, inflammation, and reduced range of motion. You may also feel older than your actual age, because your spine affects how you look and feel.

So how can you improve your spinal mobility and feel younger? Well, one of the best ways is to do regular exercises that target your spine and the surrounding muscles. These exercises can help you loosen up tight spots, strengthen weak areas, and increase blood flow and oxygen to your spine.

To help you get started, I have a short video workout below for you that will show you some simple but effective exercises for your spinal mobility. You can do this workout anywhere, anytime, and with no equipment.
